MAXIME MOUQUET
Né le 07/11/1988 à Tournai (Doornik), Fils d’architecte d’intérieur et de professeur de croquis modèle vivant, je vis dans la région de Tournai depuis mon enfance.
J’aime la nature, voyager loin des villes. Je suis musicien depuis 2001 et ai suivi des cours de saxophone et de piano au conservatoire de Tournai durant 7ans. Aujourd’hui, je joue de la basse dans un groupe de musique instrumentale “Perils of Penelope”. Avec le groupe, nous avons remporté le 1er prix des jeunesses musicales en 2009 (une tournée en Slovénie) et avons sorti un Album nommé “This product is not a toy” en 2011. Nous tournons lorsque le temps le permet à travers la France, la Belgique et bientôt en Europe de l’Est. Nous avons notamment joué à “Flagey Studio 4” à Bruxelles, au “Botanique” à Bruxelles ainsi qu’au “de Kreuin” à Courtrai.
Je m’intéresse à un grand nombre de domaines, notamment à la photographie et “time-lapse”, l’architecture, la “stop motion”, le dessin animé, les voyages, le croquis, la peinture, l’art en général, la musique, la nature, l’écologie et surtout le développement durable.
Mon projet est de travailler dans les énergies de demain et de faire ce que je crois être la vrai architecture durable.
Architecture
Pour être belle, une architecture doit être juste. L’architecte fait avec ce qui est déjà là en pensant à demain, Il est au service de la société. Ce qui doit transcender d’un projet est sans doute le service que ce dernier rend à la population. Toute architecture construite, peu importe sa valeur esthétique, doit être prise en considération sur les plans écologique, économique et historique dans la conception d’un nouveau projet. C’est en détournant des édifices que l’on crée l’Unique, mais Il faut aussi prendre conscience qu’un bâtiment verra surement plusieurs fonctions s’y succéder. Il doit donc être conçu dans cette optique de polyvalence et de changement d’affectation tout en permettant aux futurs architectes leurs propres interprétations et détournements. Une architecture moderne n’est pas forcément en rupture avec la tradition, au contraire, elle se doit d’en être le prolongement, la continuité. Une architecture moderne doit respecter son hôte, en d’autres termes, le milieu qui l’accueille.

Biography
Born the 7th of November 1988, Son of an interior architect and a sketch teacher. I have lived near Tournai (Doornik) since my youth.
I love nature and traveling far outside of cities. I have played many musical instruments such as the piano and saxophone since 2001. l studied at the Conservatory of Tournai (Doornik) for 7 years. Today, I still play the bass guitar in an instrumental band called “Perils of Penelope”. We won 1st prize at the “Jeunesse Musicales” in 2009 (Slovenia Tour) and recently release an album called “This product is not a toy” (2011). We go on tour whenever possible throughout France, Belgium and soon Eastern Europe. We have also played in Flagey Studio 4 and in Botanique in Brussel, and in De Kreuin in Kortrik.
I’m interested in many different things such as photography, time-lapse, architecture, stop motion, animation, traveling, sketching, painting, art, music, nature, ecology and of course sustainability.
My project is to work with the dynamics of tomorrow and to make what i feel the right sustainable architecture.
Achitecture
For an architecture to be beautiful, it needs to be right. Architects work with what is already there, thinking of tomorrow. He is working for the society. What needs to transcends from a project is nothing but the service it gives to people. Whatever an certain architecture looks like, we need to consider its ecological, economical and environmental situation when we build a project. Transforming an architecture, making it up to date is making it unique. But we also need to consider that a building is going to serve for more than one function in its life and it needs to be built for these reassignments. It has to be designed for these changes, but has to be left to the future architects the possibility to bring their own transformations. A modern architecture is not necessarily breaking with tradition. It needs to be the prolongation of the past, it’s continuity. A modern architecture must respect its host, in other words, the environment that welcomes the project.
